Although classified as a new university, the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) has a rich and diverse history inherited from several predecessor institutions, including the Paisley School of Art (1836–1897), University of Paisley, Bell College of Technology, Craigie College of Education, and the Dumfries and Galloway College of Nursing.

University of West of Scotland Undergraduate Programs:

Minimum 60% overall in Class 12 from a recognized board (for students from India and similar education systems).
Alternatively, students can qualify with:
Passes in at least five subjects, including two A-Levels with Grade C or above.
Irish Leaving Certificate with at least three subjects at Higher Level, Grade H4/C or above.

A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% or First Division (equivalent to UK Bachelor's degree standard).
