Coventry University: A Leader in Inclusive Education

Coventry University has been educating students since 1843, starting as Coventry College of Design. In 1970, it merged with Lanchester College of Technology and Rugby College of Engineering Technology to form Lanchester Polytechnic, named after automotive pioneer Dr. Frederick Lanchester. Coventry University is a top pick for engineering students, offering abundant library resources and tailored workshops. The campus features a well-stocked library, top-notch sports facilities, and a gym. Accommodation is convenient, with each student having a private bedroom, washroom, and access to a shared kitchen.

In 1987, the name changed to Coventry Polytechnic, and in 1992, we became a university under UK Government legislation. The Lanchester name lives on in our Lanchester Gallery and Lanchester Library.

The Covenrty university supports international students with flexible admissions for both Fall (September) and Spring (January) intakes.
