Indian engineering students are giving American universities a miss. An analysis by National Foundation for American Policy (NAFP) shows there was a 21% drop in the number of Indians enrolled in computer science and engineering graduate programmes in the US in 2017. Overall, there was a 4% dip in the number of international students in the US in 2017. NAFP suggests the decline could have been triggered by the Trump administration’s restrictive visa regime, which has made it difficult for immigrants to land a job after completing a graduate degree. SDS (Study Direct System) will soon replace SPP (Student Partners Program) in Canada. The checklists need to be updated on the website. For more information, talk to #teamIVY
